Your first visit
We’re looking forward to welcoming you or your little one to your first appointment at Be Kids. Before you arrive, there are a few things you should know to make the most of your visit:
- Bring along any referrals and your relevant medical history (for example, previous assessments).
- Carry your Medicare card and any private health insurance cards.
- Request the new patient form and email it to reception in advance of your session. This is an essential step to ensure we can provide the best possible care.
If you’re driving, there are 2-hour street parking options available nearby. We recommend arriving a few minutes early to allow yourself time to settle in before your session begins.

Emma will help you find the most suitable appointment slot and the right therapist for your family's specific needs.
We are a comprehensive child and family-focused allied health clinic. Our services are available for the family – from newborns to high schoolers. Additionally, we offer dedicated services aimed at addressing women's health, particularly for mothers.
Referrals are helpful but not required across the board. Depending on the service you’re interested in, a referral can aid you in receiving rebates. For specific guidelines on this, please send us an enquiry for the most accurate information.
The duration of therapy will vary depending on the unique circumstances of your child and the nature of the service being provided. Our therapists will work with you to establish a tailored treatment plan that best meets your child’s needs.
Navigating healthcare financing options can be complex, but we’re here to make it as simple as possible for you. Medicare rebates are available for some of our services, specifically psychology and occupational therapy, when assessed under a Mental Health Care Plan. This allows for a capped number of sessions to be partially reimbursed.
If you have Private Health Insurance, you may be eligible for a rebate depending on your level of coverage and the specific service you’re seeking. Check with your insurance provider for details on what’s covered.
For families who are part of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), we offer services to those who are either self or plan-managed. This means you can utilise your NDIS funds for eligible services at Be Kids.
For any specific queries about fees and rebates, please contact us through our Contact page.
We understand that sometimes life happens and you may need to reschedule. If that's the case, please notify us more than 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee. This also allows us to offer the appointment slot to another family in need.
